Who builds Capell?
Ben Johnson founded and maintains Capell. Capell is an independent sole-trader business funded through paid memberships, packages and support. Read the product decisions and their trade-offs.
What if Capell permanently stops trading?
Customer applications, content, frontend code and installed Capell code remain with the customer. Installed packages keep running under their existing terms. If Capell permanently stops trading, protected first-party package source will be released to existing customers under a perpetual fallback licence allowing them to use, modify, maintain and deploy that source. This is a customer continuity commitment, not a promise to convert the software to an OSI open-source licence.
Where can users talk?
Capell uses GitHub Discussions as its public community venue for questions, ideas and shared implementation experience. Security reports and private support requests must still use their dedicated routes.
