Version 2026-07-22. These are the licence terms recorded with a purchase of a paid first-party Capell package. Lemon Squeezy is the merchant and seller of record for checkout, payment, tax and receipt. Capell supplies the software licence below.
What one purchase covers
One purchase belongs to one customer organisation. It permits up to five named users in that organisation to use protected account, download, update and support services. Accounts may not be shared. The licence covers one production website or application and up to two non-production environments used for development, testing or staging.
The activation service enforces an aggregate maximum of three active installations and does not classify their environment type. The organisation is responsible for keeping those activations within the contractual allocation of one production and two non-production environments.
The organisation may reassign a named-user place when a person leaves or changes role. It may move covered production use to another site it controls after stopping use on the former site. A purchase may not be transferred, sold, sublicensed or shared with another organisation, client or affiliate, and reassignment must not evade the limits.
Updates, support and renewal
The purchase includes 12 months of protected downloads, new installations, updates and standard support, including eligible major-version releases published during the active term. Renewal is manual. A seven-day renewal grace period follows expiry.
If the organisation does not renew, a copy installed while access was active may continue running. New downloads, installations, updates and licensed support stop when the protected term and grace period end. A refund, chargeback, abuse suspension or other valid revocation differs from ordinary non-renewal: protected access ends and an installed package may stop at its next enforceable authorisation or marketplace check-in. Offline revocation is not instantaneous.
Restrictions and ownership
Capell and its licensors retain ownership. The organisation may use and modify its installed copy for covered sites, but may not redistribute the package, publish protected source, remove rights notices, resell access, evade licence checks or use one purchase for additional production sites. Third-party components retain their own licences. The free Foundation theme is supplied separately under MIT.
Publishing Studio purchase credit
An eligible Publishing Studio purchase creates non-transferable credit for the same customer organisation for seven days. It is limited to the eligible net amount paid, reduces a Capell Membership checkout, has no cash value, grants no extra site or user allowance, and cannot reduce checkout below the configured minimum. A source refund reverses the credit. A later Membership refund may restore unused source credit or record a recoverable balance where credit was consumed.
Related terms
The Terms of Service, Marketplace Terms and Refund Policy also apply. Later package-term versions do not silently replace this recorded version; a new version applies only when expressly accepted for a later purchase or renewal.
